1. Who we are

Korver Shipping operates through two companies that may process data in connection with this website and our services:

2. Website analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool we self-host on our own server in the European Union. It records aggregated page views, referring URLs, approximate country, browser, operating system, and language preference.

The site sets no cookies and does not use any third-party analytics or tracking services.

• Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding site usage (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f) / GDPR Art. 6(1)(f))
• Retention: 12 months

3. Business contact data

When we work with you on quotes, shipments, or other logistics services, we process business contact information you provide — typically name, company, role, email address, phone number, and the details of the cargo or shipment.

We use this information to:

• Prepare quotes and offer documents
• Organise and coordinate transport
• Communicate about shipments and handle operational questions
• Issue invoices and meet regulatory recordkeeping obligations

This data is stored in our internal CRM systems, hosted within the European Union. It is shared only with the subcontractors, carriers, agents and, where required for the relevant shipment, competent authorities.

We do not use business contact data for unrelated profiling or sell such data to third parties.

• Legal basis: contractual necessity (KVKK Art. 5(2)(c) / GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)); legal obligations under freight forwarder, tax and customs rules; and, where applicable, legitimate interests — for example, maintaining contact with agents, carriers and other business partners that are not direct counterparties.
• Retention: for the duration of our business relationship, and thereafter as required under applicable Turkish and Dutch recordkeeping requirements (which may be up to 10 years).

4. Email correspondence

Email sent to or from team@korvershipping.com is processed through Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., acting as a data processor). We retain email archives for as long as the business relationship requires.

5. Your rights

Under KVKK (Türkiye) and GDPR (EU), you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to, or request portability of your data.

You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority:
